The Africa Evidence Network hosted the #AfricaEvidenceWebinar entitled 'We attain: using innovation and best practice to improve educational attainment in Middle Africa' on 16 September 2020.

As the AEN secretariat, we hosted participants alongside our amazing selection of speakers:

  • Patrick Okwen, Team Lead, eBASE Africa
  • Melaine Nsaikila, Research Fellow eBASE Africa
  • Andrew Tangang, Research Fellow, eBASE Africa
  • Rigobert Pambe, Global Fellow, eBASE Africa
  • Aweh Akofu, Research Fellow, eBASE Africa.

Those who participated in this webinar learned more about and shared their experiences in:

  • Working with ministries of education in Middle Africa (for example, Cameroon, Nigeria, Niger, and Chad), and
  • Developing evidence portals that link evidence to practice and policy.

The participants learned more about how eBASE Africa plans to engage stakeholders to prioritize education attainment issues and develop a model for predicting the transferability of evidence.

This webinar is one of the pre-activities leading up to EVIDENCE 2020 ONLINE coordinated by the Enhancing Evidence Capacities working group.
